This is a portrait of my mother in Presidio park, in Old Town San Diego, CA. We were fortunate enough to capture the setting sun, and show it on her face.

While I was growing up, my mother always encouraged me to draw and paint. Even though it wasn’t easy to find good art supplies, she had her way of surprising me with Chinese brushes, color pencils, quality pastels and watercolors. I’m very grateful to her for all the support she has given to me. She is my earthly angel.
