I want to say that Zinnias are my favorite flowers, but next time I see a daisy or a rose, I’d feel the same way. It’s hard to imagine our lives without flowers. Each one of them is beautiful and uplifting, and if you’ve ever tried talking to a plant of yours, you’d be amazed at what may happen. Let me tell you of one of my earlier experiences with a plant. I was house sitting at a friend’s house for a month and she had a salmon color begonia on her coffee table. There was plenty of light falling on the flower, and I’d sit and admire it every day. I’d think, how beautiful this is, how fresh and delightful. Soon enough, the begonia started growing new blossoms surprisingly fast, and I’d admire it even more. The petals started sparkling and throwing light around. Soon enough there were so many blossoms, as if the begonia was growing out of control. This is what happens when you open your heart to another being; animal, plant or person. This is a language we all understand.
